POKOTABI / Tsukemen Ichigo
つけ麺一合
Near Kameido Station, Tsukemen Ichigo pairs firm, springy thick noodles co-developed with Asakusa Kaikarou with a rich seafood and pork-bone dipping broth, alongside garlic and sea urchin cream variations.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
When a bowl arrives at Tsukemen Ichigo, try tasting the thick noodles on their own before dipping them into the broth. Co-developed with the noodle maker Asakusa Kaikarou, the whole-wheat-flour noodles have an aromatic wheat profile and an assertive, chewy bite. They pair with a dense seafood and tonkotsu pork-bone broth, simmered thoroughly from dried sardines, bonito, and pork bones so that the viscous soup clings tightly to every strand.
Alongside the signature tsukemen, the menu offers distinct variations to suit your mood. For a bolder kick, the garlic tsukemen packs punchy flavor, while the rich sea urchin cream tsukemen and spicy miso tsukemen offer indulgent alternatives. If you want a heartier meal, ordering the deluxe toppings adds tender chashu, braised kakuni pork belly, and an ajitama seasoned boiled egg. Portions can be tailored to your appetite, starting from the standard 180 g serving up to medium, large, and extra-large sizes.
Condiments like vinegar and chili pepper sit on the counter, letting you add a refreshing edge as you eat. Once you have finished the noodles, ask for hot wari-soup to dilute the dipping broth and savor the seafood aromas down to the bottom of the bowl. The interior is compact and centered around counter seating, with orders placed through a cash-only ticket vending machine. Open until 23:30 at night, it is a dependable destination near Kameido Station whenever a substantial bowl of dipping noodles is in order.
